Kosovo: EU enlargement and Kosovo

Eu Flags
Europe? Am I European? Do I live in Europe? Do I look like European?
Reading internet news and newspapers on 1 May 2004 explains better the situation of Europe now. I see people celebrating the EU enlargement and people protesting against that. I see parties, I see violence, I see demonstrations and I ask my self, what is Europe?

The Europe is a temporary living place for us, If I travel and go to Australia for example I can say that I’m from Europe because I can realize that they don’t recognize too much my country profile, but Am I European living inside European Continent? The Answer is simple NO.

I live in Europe but I’m not European because my country is not in European Union, not in European Parliament, not in Council of Europe. This means that I’m not from Europe and the access to Europe as old European citizen is not allowed for me. My opportunity toward my education is denied because of political status of my country, in the same time Europe is requesting from us to achieve European Standards. How can I achieve that by being blocked to get accessed to examples of other European Countries?

Congratulations to all my friends from countries that became in EU on 1 May 2004, those are good steps for you, use them and start make changes in EU.

The European Union is celebrating its historic enlargement. Ten countries from Central Europe and the Mediterranean became members at the stroke of midnight on 1 May 2004. The countries that joined on 1 May are: Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
The EU’s membership list jumped from 15 countries to 25. Its surface area increased by a quarter, and its population by one fifth, to 450 million. [from BBC Source]
